Chippenham based company, Westinghouse had bad luck this summer due to the appalling weather. Twice, their family funday for 900 people was postponed. The September rescheduling meant that the format and content of the day had to be totally weather-proof.
It was decided that we would stage their very own circus at Bowood House, Wiltshire. The weather could do what it wanted because all guests would be under the roof of a giant big top. With only three weeks to make this happen, planning and production was extremely tight.
However, on the day we transformed the interior of a big top using our decor and provided guests with a 90 minute bespoke circus production involving silk dancers, street acrobats, magicians, slapstick clowns and chinese umbrella juggling. The audience were totally captivated for the duration and afterwards moved over to a giant Saddlespan tent for food, drink and live music.....and the sun shined brightly and warmly!! This is a fantastic all-weather event option for large numbers. |

For the 2007/8 season, Planet Gold are proud to sponser our local football team, Castle Combe FC. The team play Saturday football in Wiltshire Division One and their season got off to a blinding start with a 5-1 win over Blunsdon Utd. Although we won't talk about the next couple of results, the team are under excellent management with Trevor Rawlings at the helm of the ship.
So why do this? Although extremely unlikely that a supporter will see the Planet Gold logo and book an event, Planet Gold is always keen to support our local community. The football team was struggling financially, the players and management were not from Castle Combe and the whole club needed a fresh injection of talent, management and outlook. With new local managagement, players and sponsership, the club can get back to it's community-based roots.
