May has arrived in style. The sun is out, the weather is warm and that summer vibe is easing into everyone's systems.
We would like to congratulate Julian and Emily Clark on their marriage at what was one of the most colourful and enjoyable events we have ever been involved with. The Manor House in Castle Combe was a magical setting for a pagan wedding (our first!) and the day was a pleasure to witness.
If you are thinking of planning an event this summer and want something unique, outdoors and adventurous then why not speak to us about a tipi village in a secluded and beautiful location for anything from 15 to 500 guests. Organic and wholesome food will be cooked throughout the occassion, music will be live, the tipi and party fires will be burning and the mood ecstatic.

| | Planet Gold focus on sustainable events | January 2008 |

Planet Gold has always been environmentally conscious in our event planning and methods of business practice. However, this year we will be actively committing to supporting the evolution of sustainable events.
This will be done through the promotion and provision of 'green' events. These will be events that have an absolute minimal impact on the local environment and, where possible, will have a positive impact. We will encorage companies to spend their money on events that benefit the local community and environment in addition to benefiting their workforce. These style of events will be updated on our website shortly.
As a business we already operate on an environmentally aware basis. All our décor is 100% re-useable and the installation process creates no waste. Our caterers source local and organic foods. The interior of our offices and workshop are made entirely from reclaimed materials and we operate a company recycling system. We will continue to focus on minimalising and eliminating waste and emissions rather than off-setting carbon after it’s creation. We are not jumping on a band wagon....we whole heartedly believe that this way of operating is the future.

| | 'Chandelier' decor is now available | December 2007 |

Planet Gold have just finished installing our brand new 'Chandlier' decor into Rivermead Leisure Centre, Reading. We were commissioned to create the decor to compliment the 2007 Mirror Ball running throughout December. Seven giant chandeliers measuring between 3 and 4 metres in diameter have been constructed and installed, each one suspends a spinning mirror ball at it's core. The decor is very contemporary, shiny and stylish. Anyone who would like to see the decor installed can visit Rivermead prior to 23rd December. |
